Federal officials now are making permanent a speed limit for ships to protect endangered right whales.


[V]arious kinds of modeling studies have illustrated that the probability, the likelihood, of a fatal ship strike has been diminished by 80-90%.

Savannah Business Leaders Push For Sand

Local lawmakers want state funds to expand the beach at Tybee Island.


Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce President Bill Hubbard says local business leaders are making beach renourishment one of their top priorities for this year’s legislative session.
