Muscat, Oman: Arabian History and Environment

A dear friend of mine is in Oman researching the history and culture of the country, located on the southeastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula.  While there, he’s agreed to serve as a sort of foreign correspondent for JD Verde.

Enjoy these picture he sent from in and around Muscat, the capital of Oman, including images of the Sea of Oman and aflaj, man-made channels carrying water to bananas and mangoes!  First is the Grand Mosque, the “Date Tree” Nakhl Fort, and then a beach-side castle and plenty of goats!
